Industries that are major electricity consumers have suffered the most from power outages caused by imbalances, experiencing both reduced revenue and damage to equipment, or being forced to purchase electricity at high prices. Additionally, regulations require them to supply a percentage of their electricity consumption or face penalties for non-compliance. Due to the unfamiliarity and high costs of building solar power plants and the lack of suitable land for this purpose, one solution to these issues is the establishment of clean energy zones in an integrated manner, with the produced electricity being exchanged and used directly at industrial sites. In this regard, negotiations and agreements have been made in the provinces of Fars, Qazvin, Hormozgan, and western Razavi Khorasan.

Benefits of Developing Specialized Energy Zones:

✓ Identification and acquisition of suitable land for power plant construction

✓ Obtaining various permits collectively (natural resources, environment, industrial zones, regional electricity, SATBA, etc.)

✓ Assisting in securing part of the funding through negotiations with banks or obtaining facilities from the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology or the Innovation Fund

✓ Technical design of the site in an aggregated manner with a modular approach

✓ Signing necessary contracts with SATBA

✓ Conducting studies and designing grid transmission

✓ Providing consulting for preparing tender documents or negotiating outsourcing for power plant construction

✓ Procuring equipment collectively with a unified contract to reduce costs (if desired by industry owners and at competitive prices)

✓ Integrated construction of the power plant, commissioning, and grid connection to reduce costs (if desired by industry owners and at competitive prices)

✓ Constructing offices, control rooms, and shared walls or fences, establishing a common monitoring system, and providing shared protection and security

✓ Shared operation, repair, and maintenance to reduce power plant maintenance costs
